Brown Eggs

Fresh laid brown eggs from our flock of ISA Brown Layers. These protein packed eggs are delicious. Our chickens are free run in the winter in the safety of our insulated barn. Summers are spent in our chicken tractor which is moved daily to a fresh patch of grass.

For many decades, chickens were an integral part of Lazy SV Ranch. In the early homesteading years, eggs and cream were taken to town once a month to sell and trade for groceries. The round trip by oxen and cart often took 18 hours. Chickens have been absent from the Ranch for several years, but they are back laying beautiful and huge butt nuggets
