About Us

Lazy SV Ranch is a 3rd generation commercial cow-calf operation nestled in the trees on the edge of the boreal forest in North Central Saskatchewan. Our Angus-influenced cow herd is ideal for raising Simmental and Charolais cross calves. We raise our calves for direct consumer sales and the commercial cattle market.

Choosing great bulls to match our cow herd helps us achieve our goal of producing uniform calves. Our calves grow rapidly on our rich and diverse pastures. We work hard to preserve and improve the health of the ecosystem we live in, recognizing we share it with a multitude of plants and animals. Healthy pastures composed of clean water, air, healthy soil and biodiversity are critical to ensuring our ranch is around for many more generations.

Cows are an important part of keeping pastures healthy and functioning properly, filling the role once played by plains and wood bison. They graze on grasses and legumes, providing habitat for insects, birds, small and large wildlife and more. Cows are great upcyclers, turning forages into nutrient dense, protein rich meat.
